The Story
The Legendary is an intense, ten-episode action-comedy series that seamlessly blends modern superhero tropes with rich Celtic mythology. Set against a vibrant Celtic soundtrack, the story bridges two distinct worlds: the "Light Realm"—an Earth identical to our own, protected by invincible, unchallenged superheroes—and the "Dark Realm," a ancient domain housing the mythical creatures of lore and legend. The series unfolds across a fictional American city and the British countryside, using its unique fantasy premise to explore contemporary social issues through a sharp, comedic lens.
The narrative centers on Iridium, a modern, superpowered hero who finds her and her team suddenly vulnerable when confronted by ancient magic and mythical relics. The stakes escalate exponentially when a covert group of British Paladins try to assist. The Paladins accidentally summon a legendary hero, Artio the Bear God, trapping his mythic, magic-wielding consciousness inside a woman's body. Forced to adapt to this bizarre new reality, the contemporary defenders must team up with their eccentric, legendary counterparts who clash on strategies and conflicting moral codes. Together, this mismatched alliance must learn to work as one to stop an evil army from breaching the portal between realms and destroying the modern world.
